The Round Table – November 23, 2012

by Jon Dulin on November 23, 2012 · 3 comments

Welcome to this week’s edition of The Round Table! Hopefully you enjoyed your Thanksgiving feast and didn’t eat too much!! If so, chalk it up to a “cheat day” and move on. We all need to let loose once in a while. If you are preparing for Black Friday shopping, stay safe and I wish you luck on finding some great deals. I scoured the ads myself and found a few “opportunities” to hopefully turn a quick profit. If you are looking so save a few bucks this holiday season, check out Wednesday’s post about two ways to save money this holiday season. If on the other hand, you are short on funds, you can read my post on how to control your spending this holiday season. Lastly, for your grocery shopping needs, there is a great free app from Ibotta that pays you when you buy the things you already buy. You can check out my review of the app, or click this referral link to earn a $5 bonus. You’ll get your bonus when you scan your first receipt! (I earn $1 for referring you if you click on the above link. Thank you to all who do so!) Onto this week’s great posts!!

Thanks for the mention. Ibotta sounds like an interesting concept, but unfortunately not available for Android yet.

Thanks for the mention! I’m with Ed. Ibotta does sound like a cool app, however, I also have an Android phone. As soon as they have a version for my phone I will be sure to check it out!

Thanks for including our post on whether you should shop on Black Friday. And by the way, my apologies for “stealing” the roundtable idea from you! I didn’t know you did these roundtables, but after clicking on the link in the first sentence, I can see you’ve been doing them for over a year. And here I thought I had been the first to use the roundtable idea! If you ever want to be one of the featured experts in our version of the personal finance roundtable, just let me know!
