The Round Table – August 16, 2013

by Jon Dulin on August 16, 2013 · 9 comments

Round TableThe Round Table returns to its regularly scheduled broadcast time this week. Last week, there was breaking news about the MLB PED scandal that had to be reported on.

With that said, things are going great here. We had some crazy rain earlier in the week and now it is basically autumn here on the East Coast. Sadly, the summer really will be over in a few months. But enough about the weather. I was reading an article about this potentially being the first year ever where pay-TV subscriber numbers decline. I’ve always been interested in cutting our cable bill – I even wrote about Comcast’s new policy on current customers. But the need for sports has kept me in their pocket. Hopefully as new products enter the market, including the new Chromecast, things will quickly change.

I am right there with you. I would cut cable if it wasn’t for ESPN.

It was really difficult for me to cut the cable cord because of sports. I found over time I got used to watching less of it. It did save me a ton of money. Thanks for mentioning my post. Have a great weekend!

I have also been very interested to see how that Google Chromecast works out. For $35 I don’t think its too much of a risk to buy one and try it out.

That was a ton of guest posts! Did you do all of them in one week?
